Granny Wormwood – botanical esoterica

Granny Wormwood’s Esoterica is a growing range of supplies for home and ritual which use as their base the magical attributions of botanicals. All of the products are made in Granny Wormwood’s kitchen.

Granny first encountered colognes and other elements of hoodoo while living in Philadelphia in the 1990s, where she frequented several botanicas in the north of the city and Harry’s Occult Shop on South Street. Being that Granny has always been more comfortable around plants than people, she immediately felt at home in a world where the spirits of various flowers and herbs were used to enhance one’s magical practice.

Granny doesn’t talk much about her own practice, but botanicals naturally play a big part in it. Roughly fifty percent of the ingredients used in Granny’s products come from her own garden, and what does not grow is sourced from trustworthy suppliers. All of Granny Wormwood’s Esoterica products are made with actual flowers and herbs – no chemical or pre-fabricated scents are used in their creation.

Granny Wormwood’s spirit waters can be used to anoint anything – articles of clothing, coins, skin – and will evaporate without a trace, leaving behind their spiritual essence to assist in fulfilling one’s intention.

Naturally Granny can make no claims about the efficacy of her spirit waters. Science hasn’t quite caught up with magic yet, and may it ever be so. Her fond hope is that her waters will guide you to triumph in whatever realm of life you choose.

Spiritual Waters come in 9 varieties and 2 sizes and 2 types: 150ml bottle for the home, 30ml travel size bottle, 30ml spritzer. The bottles used for Granny’s waters are recyclable or re-usable.

Fairy Faith: Granny’s own recipe to attract the attention of the fairy folk, to see into their world, and to protect oneself from fairy tricks. Anoint doorways. Put a drop on the pillow before sleep.

Clear Sight: Granny’s own recipe for clarity of vision, to aid in decision-making, to detect lies, to navigate business meetings. Granny puts a drop directly onto her spectacles. Will work on earrings too.

Better Business: Granny’s own recipe to improve all areas of business: sales, networking, communication, etc. Anoint the edge of one of your business cards and carry it in in your wallet.

Peace: Based on a traditional recipe with modifications. For quiet and tranquillity in the home, to still the mind. Anoint candle, boquet of flowers, whatever object under normal circumstances brings you joy.

Fast Luck: Based on a traditional recipe with modifications. For quick material gain, fast profits and sales. Granny prefers to anoint coins with this one and carry them at all times.

Blessing: Based on a traditional recipe with modifications. For purification: use on altars, tools, candles, other implements.

Has No Hanna: Based on a traditional recipe with modifications. The classic wealth and success formula with some general triumph thrown in for good measure. Anoint a coin or Zagrebushka spoon of your choice and carry with you in your wallet.

Van Van: Based on a traditional recipe with modifications. The classic all-purpose formula. For anointing, uncrossing, protection, prosperity, and potency. Use where needed.

Florida: Granny’s own recipe for cleansing and protection of the home. Add a few drops to the bucket when mopping floors, washing windows, or scrubbing surfaces. Even though Granny’s Florida Water is not concentrated, a little goes a long way.
